Big trucks, off-road action, hair-raising slopes, water, mud and ice: all of the ingredients for some tough trucking drama, as you drive vital supplies cross-country to the people who need them the most.
SnowRunner is the sequel to the cult classic Spintires: MudRunner, which gave us a driving game that wasn’t about winning races, but about pulling heavy loads across impossible terrain with your ever-growing fleet of vehicles.
SnowRunner doubles down on the same ideas but spreads them out across massive maps based in Michigan, Russia and Alaska. On top of chewing up the mud and scrambling along rocky roads, you will now be pushing through thick snow and skidding on the ice.
Switch the low gear, work the gas pedal, and hope you get some traction. In the nearest gaming gets to Ice Road Truckers, you face some tricky roads ahead.
Quick Tips
Pick the Right Vehicle
If you cannot move for the mud or you are struggling in the snow, you are probably not in the right vehicle or packing the right equipment. Switch trucks if you can or come back later with another vehicle.
Stick to Daytime Driving
Driving at night gets really difficult, especially if you have to head off-road. Use the option to speed up time and wait for daylight before you head out on a tricky mission.
Use the Winch
Are you stuck in thick snow or mud with your tyres spinning? Try using a winch if you have one or bring another truck with one equipped. Just attach it to something solid and pull your truck free from trouble.

Collect Your Cargo
Most of the missions involve picking up materials from one place and driving them to another. You can pack your cargo automatically or winch it onto your truck yourself.
Reach Your Destination
Once you are loaded up, the challenge is to get the cargo to the destination in one piece. Work out your route and use your trucking skills to get past any obstacles in your way.
Drive to Survive
You have got to master your truck driving skills and use your head to meet each challenge. How can you use your gears, off-road equipment, winch and momentum to tackle roads that would destroy a normal vehicle?
